Fangirling in Public

My little boy recently turned one. I realised that he shares his birthday with Harry Potter, so of course the party we held for him had a Harry Potter theme, albeit only a light one — HP bunting and cupcakes, a ‘Wizard In Training’ t-shirt for the birthday boy, a few bottles of Butterbeer (which is, incidentally, disgusting). Last Sunday, we attended another first birthday party, which is the only sort of party we ever get invited to these days. This one had a superhero theme, which was taken much more seriously — they even had people dressed up as Spiderman and Supergirl doing the entertainment.
