Gardener’s Journal: Staying well in Winter

During the winter the increased time indoors brings on the challenge of staying completely well. If you are able to, I have found a 20 minute walk in the cold and chill as well as using green tea and ginger tea as well as oregano tea can be of great value. The walk to clear the germs and your own thoughts …on sunny winter days the value of vitamin D is impressive to your structure. The drying of fresh oregano for a few days then chopping into a small glass jar and covering will yield plenty of oregano for teas and soups. This lovely little green herb will help prevent throat irritations as well as warm you in the chill…and it will not collide with any medicines you are required to take…happy healthy winter!
