Gardener’s Journal: You know you are a gardener when…

As spring begins to cover the land and we anxiously await a proper drying time to clean up the winter debris, I have time to consider my own habits. I wonder how many of us can relate to these. Thought I would share these signs of being a true gardener:

You know you are a true gardener when: you rush outdoors and check the gardens for that first little spring bloom..even though it is still late winter and it is just the first sunny day…

You know you are a true gardener when: you wait impatiently for those seed catalogues and any information or flyers on growing and planting.

You know you are a true gardener when: you spend ages on Pinterest ideas…and keep saving the same ones!

You know you are a true gardener when: you screech to a halt beside the neighbour’s garbage…just because you think you saw some discarded hanging baskets or pots…

You know you are a true gardener when: you exchange ideas and information with perfect strangers just because some one mentioned plants…

Finally,( for now )you know you are a true gardener when: you smile from ear to ear at the first sign of seedlings you brought to life indoors…and can’t stop talking about them!

Keep growing!
