I hear you and what you’re saying is based on the assumption that we have a permanently finite “amount” of attention; that paying it to a bed, limits the funds for other things.
My point in this article is that organization is an investment of attention that pays compound interest. Creativity requires a “sensitive” mind that notices and cares about everything observable.
Perhaps if you’re a CEO that must produce widgets, yes pay someone to make your bed. However an artist who cares to cultivate attention (the raw material for creativity), would benefit from making a bed like an athlete benefits from exercise.
