New challenge: 365 days of Scrum
Starting today I will embark in a new chapter of my life:
Being a Scrum Master and an Agile Coach for a multinational company.
It’s not my first trip along the agile world. I’ve been working as a Systems&Business Analyst for an agile team for the past 2 years. I got certified as a Professional Scrum Master in April 2016 and around my birthday in October I was asked to start as a Scrum Master for my team. Life changing e-mail I could say :) Best gift ever! But that’s a story for another day…
A few months ago a friend started bugging me to get more engaged, to set goals and go after them. Needless to say I did not take any action… it was just bla-blah to me… I was too busy living my 9-to-5 conventional life. There’s no one more deaf than one that does not want to hear but not anymore :)
I’m getting a fresh start and I’ll take advantage of it.
Starting today I’ll do my best to write daily at least a few lines about the challenges one has trying to apply the concepts of the Scrum framework on a new project with new teams from different locations.
I have a few expectations from this small Scrum Diary personal project:
- Building a collection of 365 stories on applied Scrum and agile practices
- Building a small community of agile practitioners sharing ideas
- Practicing my writing skills
- Gaining knowledge by being contemplative on day-to-day challenges of a Scrum Master
- Gaining knowledge from you
Too ambitious? We’ll see on 28.06.2018. What I can say for certain is that on that day I will be way more skillful as a Scrum Master and as a writer. And we will have all the logs here :)
I hope you will find my stories helpful and we can build together a small community of agile practitioners sharing ideas. Let’s share knowledge here and learn for each other’s experiences. By the way, do you have any Scrum readings to recommend?
Cheers! Scrum Rookie
