I don’t know where you’re getting your data from regarding the increase of teen violence. Every source I can find says it’s down and has been going down since the 90’s, just like violent crime in general.

And for every report that says there’s causation, I’m sure there’s another report that says otherwise. Like I said, there’s no consensus. Most of the reports only prove a short term effect anyway. I think most people agree that a violent game might wind people up (although, losing the game seems to wind people up even more.) The thing is though, there’s no evidence at all that says violent games lead to actual violent behavior. Not that I’ve seen anyway.
