Why We Should Let Machines Take Our Jobs: The Argument for Extreme Automation

Machines Can Do Our Work Better Than We Can

This may sound like a bold claim, but we can back it up by evidence. In many cases, robots and machines can work faster and more efficiently than humans. They can also operate for more extended periods without getting tired or making mistakes, which is especially true for repetitive jobs or jobs that require a high level of precision.

Machines Are Not Susceptible to Exploitation for Profit

In our current system, employers often exploit workers to maximize profits, leading to dangerous and unhealthy working conditions, long hours, and little rest or leisure time. Machines do not require any of these things — they can work for as long as we need them to without complaint.

Machines Will Help Reduce Inequality

One of the biggest problems facing us today is the growing gap between the rich and the poor. Popular media often blames automation for this gap, but that is not the case. By automating jobs, we can help create an equal society because employers do not need to pay robots and machines a salary. Employers should afford to pay their human workers more, benefiting everyone but significantly helping those on a low income or who work with no benefits.
