(nobody talks about)

In the 5th chapter of Mark’s Gospel and on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, Jesus heals a really scary guy. He’s got a head full of demons, and he lives in a graveyard and Jesus makes him well.

But Jesus and his friends are in enemy territory, and the locals want him gone.

The formerly scary guy begs Jesus to take him away, back to the friendly shore, but instead he is sent back home live, and to work, and tell others what happened.

Here is the cool part of the story…

Three chapters later, Jesus feeds 4000 people on this SAME SHORE, the formerly enemy shore, the home of the scary guy shore, with a few morsels of bread and fish.

Just as Jesus fed 5000 people back on his side of the lake, now he has 4000 new fans in a place where there were none.

Just think, 4000 new followers in just three chapters, all because Jesus sent the scary man home, who wasn’t scary now, but full of life , and hope, and joy, and wonder.

He’s the greatest salesman nobody ever talks about. I wonder what would happen in our worlds when we dare to share?
