DALLE — Natural Language Processing

Imagine a world where you can have a conversation with your devices and digital assistants as naturally as you would with a human… This world is being enabled by an area of artificial intelligence (AI) called natural language processing (NLP).

What is Natural Language Processing?

NLP refers to the ability of computers to understand, interpret, and manipulate human language. It lies at the intersection of computer science, artificial intelligence, and computational linguistics. NLP techniques empower devices like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Siri and so much more behind the scenes.

Over the past decade, natural language processing capabilities have advanced tremendously thanks to machine learning and the rise of deep learning. Tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Facebook along with dozens of AI startups have invested heavily in NLP which is now being applied across many industries to create new products, improve efficiencies and even save lives.
