I’m a little mystified by all of the slobbering over Spurs because they finished above Arsenal ONE year in the last TWENTY THREE. It’s hard to call it a trend at this point and there is no guarantee, other than fan logic optimism, that they will be able to keep the squad together long term.

It was always a fluky record to some extent, more fun for the fans than the clubs. I think a few more seasons will need to pass before we can even begin to consider this a trend.

The irony of all of this of course is that there is only one club between the two that realistically have a shot at winning a trophy this year, Arsenal.
