Adventure 004: Crater Lake National Park

So, it’s been a few days since our last blog post. Over the weekend, we did some crazy adventuring in Crater Lake National Park and Yosemite National Park. First, we’d like to share our photo story from Crater Lake.

On Thursday afternoon we left Portland for Crater Lake. Google Maps claimed it would take us 4 hours to drive there but for some reason it ended up taking about 7. This was most likely due to the fact that we spent more time on the side of the road at cool lookouts taking photos than at the actual lake. Once we finally got into the park, we ran into the bad weather that was forecasted for the weekend. In the foggy darkness, I drove 15 miles on a long windy road with no blockage from the cliffs on each side. I would have to say it was one of the scariest drives of my life, even compared to Minnesota winters (which my fellow Minnesotans can understand I’m sure). We finally found our campsite for the night, made some noodles and crashed. The following morning we woke up to another gloomy, but gorgeous day, took some photos at the lake and headed to Yosemite.

We’ll be posting the photos we got from Yosemite the next place we get service, so stay updated and get ready for more content from us!
