I have not lived an adventurous life, nor an exotic one filled with tales of expeditions into dangerous, unknown realms, but I have experienced the indescribable joy of holding my newborn daughter in my arms and seeing my reflection in her searching eyes.

So, too, have I witnessed the power of my wife, who became strength, suffering, and determination personified, and who within moments became the tenderest incarnation of motherly affection to a child she had only just met. What super powers she possesses, and how they grow every day.

This is but a small piece of my lifelong daily writing practice (Day 131). If you enjoyed this, you may also like some of my other writing.
