This is a really good point. I haven’t considered what I’d do with rejection letters, but I like your take. It seems to me the reason a writer would hang onto these rejections is to throw them in the face of everyone who said “no” when the hoped-for acceptance letter comes in, like a giant “neener-neener” to all the doubting dummies.

That’s not inspirational to me, it’s spiteful. Good piece.
