Well said. I agree there are benefits (and perhaps no downside) to daily publishing. My dilemma was this: how do I write something that — by its very nature — requires more than a day to create, and also continue to publish each day?

Publishing a succession of edits didn’t seem like a good idea, hence my decision to continue writing daily and post the story when it was finished.

If I had the time, I would separate my daily writing from my long-term writing, and publish my daily writing each day, and my long-term writing as it was finished.

I think as long as we’re doing the daily work, the question of “do I publish or not?” has no wrong answer.
