A Sincere Act is Contagious
A lesson learned on March, 1st 2016.
Recently I made a hashtag project on Path which challenged myself to create and post a new song everyday. I initially meant it to last only on February. However, it surprisingly didn't went as planned. Just right when I was about to ended it, some friends told me that they would love to took #songperday as their challenge. I wondered how it felt like to do it together and decided to carry on the project for another month.
I initially started the project as my annual resolution to be a better songwriter. Thus I need to broke down my own delusions that were holding me back from song writing. So I did it. I made whatever songs I wanted and ventured even towards genres I rarely tuned into. Some worked really well, many others, umm.. not so much. But I loved it. I felt really contented.
What I didn’t know is, my #songperday project set my friends' ass on fire. It was first only one person, then it became two, then three, then now, five. There are five friends now doing it this March. Five which are more skilled and more experienced than me. I couldn’t possibly know what their motivations are. One thing I’ve learned is, a sincere act is contagious.
