I was thinking of using Firebase for an upcoming project to try and validate an idea I had. The plan was to use this to get a working example up and running quickly as possible, and then switch things up if the idea sticks.

After hearing your experience though I’m thinking twice about it…. Would you even recommend it for a project like a mentioned above? Pretty much a glorified functioning prototype.
