PC vs MAC - Which side of the fence are you on?

I’ve gown up using PC’s all my life, but when it came to leaning graphic design at college I discovered MAC’s.

Unlike most people I look at the actual specifications and price tag. Now here’s the technical part. My £400 laptop. has 6GB RAM, i3 processor and 1GB graphics. To get a MAC equivalent to this spec you will need to pay £1500 to £2000. Turn this on its head and think of what £1500 can get you PC wise and it becomes clear you are paying an extra £1000 for something that looks pretty but has the same power as a much cheaper PC.

Despite the MAC’s price tag, I’ll give it credit that it is a simplified operating system and runs relatively smooth, as long as you look after it.

But like a lead weight a £2000 MAC would be no match for a mighty £2000 PC which could have around 32GB RAM, i7 processor and 2GB graphics.

Always compare specifications before buying is my advice. Don’t let Apples grandiose branding and misleading marketing fool you.
