The technology that enabled #WingBowl24
Background information on spectacular events. (#Day30)
A plethora of technological innovations enabled this morning’s spectacular event, #WingBowl24.
First and foremost: the Wings. The talons themselves. The birds. How did we get to the point of being able to kill and eat so many chicken?
Secondly, the stadium. The central amphitheater. A modern Roman Coliseum. How did we get to this point of Spectacular entertainment?
Third, the lights. La Luz. The thing that was popularized by Kanye West in that song about them. How did lights become so central? This event is at 6 AM, after all.
And, of course, the speakers. Speakers were among the first of catalysts for Spectacular events.
And Twitter. And 610 WIP Radio, Philadelphia.
The photo above was taken by an iPhone camera, too.
All Spectacular events are Spectacle-ular. They thrive through the Mediums they’re put onto. Just ask Justin Beiber or R. Kelly. Did they really need to make those movies for their songs?
It’s all a component of Spectacle. Spectacle is why you feel so at ease while watching TV. Read the link within.
