Regardless of politics, I think you’re not quite acknowledging the broader scope of internet hate. The reality is that no matter your gender, race, politics, etc., there will be people that post bitter hatred toward you on the internet. That is, if you post anything controversial, which you will. This is especially true on YouTube and places where people can maintain complete anonymity, but it is also true to some extent on places like Twitter. People are much more hateful online than they are in-person, because they feel removed from the people they are hating. I blame the digital age and social media. The haters will grasp at anything that makes you unique or special in order to attack you — in this case, the fact that she is a successful, beautiful female. Successful people are especially susceptible to attack, not only because their posts will reach more viewers, but also because jealous people are looking for an outlet.
