Hi Joel,

The existence of a law does not prove its validity or benefit. It used to be legal to own other human beings.

Just because that law had the noble purpose of protecting the citizens and making for a prosperous society (all laws have SOMETHING good about them, ya?) doesn’t mean it was excusable.
