Explain to them the definition of racism…

“The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.”

And of course the actions based on that belief.

In other words: the belief that some races are inherently superior to others.

Then explain to them why this definition is ASTOUNDINGLY important.. namely that it provides the rationale for denying some races equal station in society, especially socially enforced rights. This gives rise to slavery, and even the concept that slavery is good for the slave. (being “inferior”, they are protected from the difficulties of civic duty)
