The problem is when the left, so overwhelmingly adept at insult, decide to criticize anyone for being insulting.

It’s a little thing I like to call “hypocrisy”.

What you will notice is that the political right is glacial when it comes to protesting insult. The reason is that they respect the right of others to opinion and expression. They should be acclaimed for their broad application of this ideal… as seen in actual practice.

In stark contrast, the left not only rule the skies of insult, they also, as part of their ideology, claim that insult is such a severe act that it justifies severe penalty, even rising to the levels of criminality.

Except when they do it, naturally.
