The discussion about confusion between the definition of immigrant… is entirely artificial and invented by the political left, and quite intentionally so.

In the not too distant past, there were two kinds of new Americans (from foreign lands)

Immigrants and illegal aliens.

The left purposely substituted the term “undocumented immigrant” to confuse the situation, and move the illegals into the realm previously reserved for legitimacy: Immigrant.

Suggestion… screw them.

Make it clear. Always say Immigrant, and Illegal Alien. Nobody will ever be confused again. It’s when we let the subversive redefine terms mid stream that we have to deal with their mischief.
