PAIN

by LaRule Laurél Berryman-Bailey

When time has passed
and no longer will You feel the wrath of her death sentence.

your breaking heart will still be breaking until your own last dying breath.

She was the reason for living, your life.

From the moment you wake until late at night.

The dark, now darker due to the plague of depression at the very thought of her not existing.

You will ever be changed by the devastation of her absence.

Your heart feels so heavy , that it seems beyond repair.

As you endure the pain and wake in the morning….reaching, yearning, but she isn’t there.

No one but you can understand how hard this is going to be?

Only smiling because you have to and for the fact you can’t help but smile when you think of her.

Wearing THIS mask is frightening,

I will never comprehend or care to know,

how this is the natural order of things, and still can’t understand how its her in the coffin instead of Me.
