What’s next ?
i was talking with both a female and male co-worker recently about this and nobody seems to have any concrete ideas on where/how to start. Culture IMHO is the hardest thing to change. working in tech we are used to solving problems, it’s what we are paid to do but that's usually with process and technology. A start would be enforcement of existing policy’s and a re-write of those policies if they are written to avoid legal issues over protection of a normal work environment for everyone. I know i have seen a C level walked out the door once evidence was confirmed of harassment ( repeated).
I would say it might take a nasty lawsuit or two to get peoples attention but just look at how the Kleiner Perkins suit is going and i’m not convinced of that either.
