Alchemy, often dismissed as a deranged pseudoscience, was once a legitimate scientific pursuit in its time. Unfortunately, politics, money, and power tainted this beautiful art. In this article, I aim to shed light on the true nature of alchemy and its profound impact on history. Alchemy, rooted in metallurgy, focused on testing alloys and reagents, eventually paving the way for chemistry and exploration into other materials. It was a magical world of discovery, misunderstood by many but revered by those who understood its true essence.

The Magic of Alchemy:

Alchemy, at its core, was an early form of metallurgy, delving into the properties of metals and their reactions. The alchemists, like modern-day scientists, sought to understand the world around them through experimentation and observation. They saw the magic in their craft, not as supernatural sorcery, but as the art of perfecting their skills, akin to a grandmother’s magic touch in making the perfect oatmeal raisin cookie.
