one Heart loved another
but the other couldn’t love back
a consequence of circumstances and time

the Heart hurt itself in loving a Heart that couldn’t love back
and in being hurt, hurt the other Heart too
this just hurt the Heart even more

two Hearts loved each other
one Heart pushed the other away, because it cared
a consequence of circumstances and time

the Heart that pushed hurt as much
as the Heart that was pushed
the Hearts needed time

what use is time being eternal
but when its needed
is never enough?

the Hearts
hurt each other because they cared
hurt themselves to not hurt the other
hurt as consequences of circumstances and time

all the Hearts hurt, and hurt
the Hearts that does not want to hurt
hurt the most

I guess that’s all hearts were meant to do
to love and
to hurt
