To me it’s a fact that Apple is putting in purely aesthetic choices that are bad for usability. It’s not just about keys position, they are following minimalism as a true god and I think it’s not always the best choice.

One example: in OS X I used to have custom icons for folders on the sidebar; now under El Capitan, I can’t. This surely looks minimal but doesn’t work as good imho…

It’s good to criticize and to say what one thinks but at this point I think that Apple is clearly following a direction, quietly evolving into some ‘fashion-driven’ tech company that sells devices for the masses.

They can, they have a broad audience of admirers.

Apple doesn’t seem to be concerned that much about the professionals using their products… so, go on. World is moving forwards, maybe someone else will emerge, picking up where Apple left.
