One of the many beautiful improvements in iOS 10 is the upcoming overhaul of iMessage with the possibility for developers to submit apps and sticker packs to the iMessage App Store.

However, not only is iMessage going to be starting to live up to it’s potential, it also brings other, smaller improvements that might make your life easier.

One of these improvements is the new option to set up individual read receipts, if you only want some particular people to know about when a message has been read.

To set that up you can

  • Access the Settings
  • Navigate to Messages
  • Tap Send Read Receipts and set it to OFF
  • Open iMessage
  • Tap on the contact you want to allow read receipts for
  • Tap the (i) top right corner
  • Tap Send Read Receipts and set it to ON for this individual

Now you can watch that in my gif below as well:

For all of you who haven’t installed iOS 10 yet, it will arrive to an iPhone near you on September, 13th.

You know what also drops on September, 13th? iMessage Mario Stickers!
