When the afternoon starts with you nervously chugging down a beer, there are two contrasting outcomes you might run into. Either your going to have a really bad time or; and this one tends to come up more often, it’s goes nowhere near as badly or as strenuous as you expected.

Fortunately the evening brief at Whybin was the latter, as the cohort entered en masse, and far more of us then expected, into the meeting room at the back of their South Melbourne offices.

The brief and subject matter, though quite broad, was laid down for us: as an extension of ANZ’s current #equalfutures Pocket Money ad, our brief was to create a campaign targeting 30–49 year old women, illustrating how this International Woman’s Day 2017, ANZ is committed to creating a more equal financial future.

After this we were shown a gallery of media which currently composed the #equalfuture campaign and then just as everyone was debating whether to reach across the table to nab one of the complementary drinks it was time to go.

So no real reason to fret in the end…
