Manufacturing Table Top

Today was day one of manufacturing of my small table. There wasn’t enough palette timber left over, so I chose to use plywood found in the Gossard workshop. The aim for today’s morning session was to cut, plane, glue and jig the plywood pieces together and left to dry so that I will be able to CNC the circle table top friday morning. Something I learnt today from having a quick chat with Dianca was grain direction on plywood relates to strength. Therefore the horizontal plywood pieces to support the table top need to be pieces of plywood with a horizontal grain and vice versa with the table legs.
