New Found Love
I knew of Calvin and his pal Hobbes, but I never really paid too much attention for whatever reason. I rediscovered this comic strip just a couple days ago at my friend’s birthday celebration. Browsing through his books I found several Calvin and Hobbes paperbacks. I grabbed, flipped just a few pages and the strip above immediately caught my attention.
Since you probably already read it, go ahead, read it again and take some time to think about what it means to you…
“You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm” Sidonie Gabrielle Colette
I have many times carried the plates reluctantly to a table. Sometimes it just has to get done. Especially if you are being fed; Calvin wouldn't get to eat if he didn't set the table. Now break this down and create variables: Replace the food, the plates, the table, the mother. It will apply to a lot of things we have to do as adults.
So why not just do it enthusiastically if it has to get done anyway?
What do you get from the comic strip?
