Digital Citizenship: What’s Your Approach?
The Obama Foundation

As digital citizenship education advocate, I am a huge fan of the work being done by Dr. Marialice Curran and her 10 year old son, Curran Dee. Marialice is the founder of the Digital Citizenship Institute, an organization committed to promoting social good through the use of social media and technology, and the Digital Citizenship Summit, a series of international gatherings dedicated to promoting best practices in digital citizenship and encouraging and empowering stakeholders — including educators, parents, students, industry, and other organizations — to model the digital change they want to see in the world. Her son Curran is the Chief Kid Officer (CKO) of DigCitKids, a student run digital citizenship embassador program. Their message of empowerment and their goal of leveraging student voice and technology in positive ways to promote change is inspirational!
