Using Weave

Recently I was invited to use a service called Weave. Its main focus is to connect individuals in Silicone Valley with one another for networking purposes. I had my first Weave enabled meeting today and I would have to say that it was very easy and well executed on. Not only was the individual I met with amazing and had a truly stunning background but the logistics of the meeting was very simple. Weave takes care of the place based on a location you give them and an actual human contacts both parties and ensures that both individuals are available and are able to meet at the set location. I am sure this last feature of the site is something that will be automated at some point but I do greatly appreciate the personal touch this brings to the service.

I love that services like this exists as it takes out some of the hurtles that are associated with meeting new people. The one on one model is also something I love. As much as it is nice to meet people in a traditional networking environment, this format enables someone like me to build a much more personal connection with the other individual and allows each of us to learn about one another and the lives we live. Thus far the matches are effective and I am looking forward to what is to come next for my weekly matches. Being able to build my network professionally and personally is something I have made a mission of this year as I recently have called The Bay Area my home and while this place and the people continue to inspire me, I seek to utilize that and continue my growth and development as well.
