There needs to be a reason other than “treat people equally” to promote gender equality? WTF.

Dear Chiara,
Thank you for your response. Let me take this opportunity to state on the record that you’re right and that I am not an expert on the given topic.
However I would just like to bring your attention to #2 of my response. I mention exactly the fact that for women writer to grow and improve they’ll need a platform to begin with.
That said I still say that my respect is always for the person and never the gender. I’ll hold open a door not because you’re lady. I’ll open it for anyone who happens to be behind me.
Lastly I’d also like to let you know that now that you’ve mentioned it. I plan to read some more to improve my understanding.
