Problem Solving Challenge
According to Albert Einstein, if I had 60 minutes to solve a problem. I do spend 55 minutes defining it , and 5 minutes solving it . According to this quote, identifying and understanding the problem is very essential step towards problem solving. Whenever , we faced the problem, we cannot able to solve with closed mind and traditional ways. We have to come up with new ideas to cater it.

As we have assigned a task to come up with some solutions to some community problem nearby our home. Alog with my group member, Qasim Jamil, we decided to solve the problem of overgrown grass at a park opposite to my home. Due to rainy season, grass of the park is overgrown and children cannot play there. Mosquites, insects , rats and even snakes are living there. So, we decided to cut the grass . We come up with three solution.
The first solution is to collect all street children and cut the grass at our own. The second solution is to collect money from all homes and hire a gardener. The third solution is to call PHA ( Park Horticulture Authority) through our neighbor uncle reference and asked them to send gardeners to clean it .
We failed in first solution as children are not serious to clean it . We also dont have any equipment to cut the grass. We failed in second solution as people are not much concerned with this problem . The people are not even willing to contribute 100 rs for this cause. Eventually , out third solution become successful. After calling the authority for again and again , they send 10 gardeners with a truck to cut the grass and dumped it into the truck . I have learned that we only blame the government for not solving community problems and we dont have any sense of community welfare in ourselves.
I felt so happy that if there is a will, there is way. The takeaway for this activity is that we have identify the problem and give our power and energy to solution .
