WHAT IS A MACBOOK

Apple launched the first Macintosh, commonly known as Mac in 1984. A MacBook is basically a Macintosh portable computer that is developed and sold by apple company. The main advantages of using a MacBook are that it is better designed and is less prone to viruses. It allows you to move between your MacBook or any other apple devices such as desktop computer, ipad or iphone.

MacBooks are the most useful laptops you can buy but it is not easy to pick up the right one for you. Currently apple is selling two laptop lines i.e. MacBook pro and MacBook air. And the main reason behind writing on this topic is to know about the difference between MacBook pro and MacBook air in terms of specifications and to know which one is better .

MacBook Air

When the MacBook Air was released it was described as “World’s Thinnest Notebook” by Apple.

MacBook air was the best choice for everyone, inexpensive, elegantly designed, thin and light. But as the time passed MacBook air couldn’t satisfy its users for a longer period.

Fortunately, Air refreshed a couple of years ago and its new looks are very similar to MacBook pro.

You can buy a MacBook air with Core i3 processor or with core i5 processor, but for core i5 processor you have to pay extra $100 for that. In MacBook air you get 2 USB-C ports, and there’s no Touch bar, but it’s not a big deal for most people. Whereas the new keyboard design in MacBook air 2020 is a huge improvement.

MacBook Pro

MacBook pro comes in two different screen sizes,13 inches and 16 inches display. First we’ll talk about MacBook pro with13 inches.

13-inch MacBook pro

A 13-inch MacBook pro is the most recently updated MacBook which includes 10th-generation Intel CPU options. Not only this, but it also doubles the storage of 2019 version and addition of magic keyboard makes it final MacBook to have a new keyboard design.

A 13-inch MacBook pro also contains a touch bar which can be used to control the volume, screen brightness etc.

16- inch MacBook pro

A 16 inch MacBook Pro is huge as compared to a 13-inch MacBook pro but still more portable than most of 15-inch windows laptops. A 16-inch MacBook pro is more expensive than a 13-inch MacBook pro and includes discrete graphics. We can equip a 16-inch MacBook pro with an intel i9 processor but we should also be prepared for a heavy starting price.

MacBook Air vs MacBook pro. Which one is better?

If you want to buy a MacBook for your everyday college work, movies or internet surfing you should go with the MacBook Air with intel i5 version of approximately $1099, which is suitable for some people.

But on the other hand MacBook pro with more powerful processors is clearly a better option than MacBook Air. Especially for those people who need a laptop for graphic designing, video editing, audio editing or to perform multitasking.

So obviously MacBook pro is better than MacBook air.
