AAG Launches Saakuru Blockchain to Streamline Onboarding of Web2 Users to Web3

AAG is launching a blazing fast and “gas fee”-less L2 blockchain on Oasys in order to enable the next generation of web3 and metaverse applications. Saakuru blockchain will help make AAG’s MetaOne® wallet even more secure, as well as allowing other developers to substantially increase on-chain activities.

For all its immense promise, web3 currently poses several problems. Poor user experience means that many potential users do not feel safe entering the space. There are also not many applications people find useful outside of DeFi. While these applications exist, they are not easily discoverable. The MetaOne® wallet is the solution to these challenges.

One further obstacle is gas fees, the transaction costs that users must pay to get their transaction added on the blockchain. Gas fees pose a problem for applications that makes it prohibitively expensive for them to take full advantage of blockchain technology. For instance, imagine operating a game where users collect loot each time they kill a monster. If these are NFTs, either the developers have to spend money on gas fees or else users have to pay to mint them. Regardless of how cheap gas fees may be, with millions of users it can still become significant. At $1 per 1m transactions, and an average of 10k items collected per user in a JRPG game, this can translate to $10,000 worth of gas fees to support 1m users.

Some may argue that you can use ERC1155 and bulk transactions to solve this, but that’s only delaying the inevitable. On BNB Chain with an average of $0.05 per transaction, this can balloon to $500m per 1m users. It’s no wonder most games do things off chain and only do payments on chain!

Then consider the case in which users are able to mint NFTs as part of a loyalty program at a restaurant. Currently the flow is for the user to first download a wallet, buy some crypto, then mint NFTs. This process is not user friendly and causes a bottleneck as customers are stuck trying to figure out what to do.

While Saakuru is new, it has already hit the ground running with adoptions of the blockchain. One of the first projects to launch on the Saakuru blockchain is GOGA, an acronym standing for”Good Game to learn English”. GOGA is an AI-based web3 application seeking to help millions of people to learn English by applying gamification techniques and an innovative play-and-earn mechanism. The team strongly believes this will benefit and motivate millions of English learners around the world.

The team expects a longer user lifetime on GOGA in comparison to a traditional language learning application, as well as a significant increase in completion rate of the courses.
