I love the simplistic style of this animation, just very basic and minimalist lines and appropriate sound effects. The sound really does elevate the animation, the rustling of his coat and the scraping of the pot as he hops around adds depth and life to the simplicity. I appreciate your interpretation of the work as being fatalistic, I spent much of the video wondering where it was going, why he was looking up, what would happen when he eventually grew, only to see that he cycle would inevitably repeat itself. While that can be seen as something depressing, I think with the added aspect of growth it can represent something more hopeful, like the cycles of life, or how repeated life experiences can build on each other and we never stop growing.
