Apple has introduced a new colour option for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, with the new (PRODUCT)RED Edition.

It’s been 10 years since Apple first started their partnership with (PRODUCT)RED, which gives consumers a way to give back and help contribute to the Global Fund and “bring the world a step closer to an AIDS-free generation”.

“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

“The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”

In terms of pricing, the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition will be available for $1029 CAD for the 128GB version and $1179 CAD for the 256GB version.

The (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be available worldwide starting March 24th and will start shipping to customers by the end of March. It will be available in the following countries starting this friday: Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, US, the UK and United Arab Emirates. Brazil, Chile, Colombia, India, Turkey and other countries will follow in April.

That wasn’t all that Apple announced, they also announced that the iPhone SE will be available in double the storage capacity. The iPhone SE will now come in 32GB and 128GB. The 32GB version will set you back $579 CAD and the 128GB version will cost $709 CAD and both will be available on March 24th.

Apple also added some new colour options for their silicone cases, they are now available in azure, camellia and pebble, these will set you back $45 CAD. Apple’s leather cases now come in taupe, sapphire and berry and will cost $65 CAD.

New 9.7-inch iPad

Apple also announced a new 9.7-inch iPad to replace the iPad Air 2. The new iPad has a brighter 9.7-inch Retina display and inside, you’ll find a A9 processor. The Wi-Fi model with 32GB of storage will cost $449 CAD while the Wi-FI & cellular will cost $619 CAD.

There is also a 128GB with just Wi-Fi for $579 CAD and one with Wi-Fi & cellular with 128GB of storage for $749 CAD. Those looking to order the new iPad, can do so, starting this friday, March 24th.

Clips

New iPhones and an iPad weren’t the only that Apple announced, they also announced a new app called Clips. This app is so than anyone can create expressive video on their iPhone and iPad.

The Clips app also introduces something called Live Titles which allows users to create animated captions by using their voice. Clips will be available for download for free for users with a iPhone 5S or later, the new 9.7-inch iPad, all iPad Air and Pro models, iPad mini 2 and later and the 6th Generation iPod touch. Your device must be running iOS 10.3 to be able to download the Clips app.
