Linkedin DP Fails

all characters in this post are real. Sorry if anyone found their personal pic in this collection. You can kill me, but please change that DP

This is perhaps a post I’ve been wanting to write forever, but after reading this post for Ankur Warikoo, I decided to write it now.

I check my Linkedin account once every couple of days and while there are invites and suggestions from Linkedin on who I might know or should connect to, I cant help but smile at myself when I see the Biggest Linkedin DP Fails.

I would like to believe that I know a bit about social networking and Linkedin is a professional networking site. So, one needs to look professional to be able to get any work related benefits. However, there are some of us who are on it because everyone else is. And worse still, there are some of us who’ve uploaded a picture because the site gives you an option. Which BTW is not mandatory.

After multiple sightings of some of these DPs, I lost my patience and decided that I wanted to share it with the world because, this is something that should change.

So, here are some of the DPs and the thoughts (that I think) the people who uploaded them had.

The “You’ve found me ” DP:
The “Pehchaan Kaun” DP
The “I want to be different” DP
The “I’ve Got the Looks” DP

I am sure all you can think of many more categories and have seen the craziest DPs on Linkedin. So, would request you to share more of them and help the professional world with better looking professional photographs!

This is an ongoing project & I will share some more crazy ones. This will be followed up with sharing some of the best DPs that I’ve seen and 5 Things to keep in mind before you upload that Linkedin DP.
