Why I Don’t Use Deodorant

I used to be concerned about the way I smelt, amongst many other things, and I would try and mask the odour with deodorants of many varieties. They never really worked and often times made the problem worse.

I went to my doctor and he told me that it’s perfectly normal and that I should just make sure I shower twice a day and then the problem should go away. So, naturally, I followed this advice but the odour would come back during the day.

Then I came across some information that changed my life, it changed the way I viewed everything. I watched some videos online (hundreds) and they all pointed to the same conclusion — treat the cause and not the symptoms.

This encouraged me to look at what the root cause of the odour was and that was when I realised what my behaviour was resulting in. I was using harsh chemicals found in the shower gels, soaps and deodorants to make myself “smell good” but these were in fact the causes of the odour.

I felt so stupid, but also liberated. But then I found myself asking “what do I use instead?” And this is when I understood that nature has been taking care of us for centuries — what did the ancients use to freshen up?

Lemons, limes and oranges are the cures to my body odour issue. Since replacing deodorants with these citrus fruits — I haven’t had any hint of body odour. It took me many years to realise that nature provides all the answers we seek.

Nature’s so smart — it put the medicine in the foods.

Peace & positive vibes.
