An Agile, Learning Life
Increasing your skills in certain areas is important and should be a continual life-long endeavor.
In other words, as I tell my kiddos, this is what we call “growing” as a person — it never stops and it should be enjoyable even if it hurts. This is one of the reasons why we’ve banned the word “can’t” from our family dictionary.

What’s just as important, though, is making sure that other people are aware of your growing skills, not through self-aggrandisement or hubris or pridefully but wisely and with humility.
When others know that you’re in the business of becoming a better person you become a much-needed performer at every part of the business and people will come to you for help.
But the motivation isn’t about increasing one’s position or financial status or anything like that; one continues to learn because it gives you purpose, it means that you have still so much to do before you find yourself buried.
Stay agile. Have fun. Live long. Prosper. :)
