Eero Home Wifi: Does it Work?

Yesterday I installed the new Eero Home Wifi system in my house and I’m excited to say that it’s working exactly how I had hoped it would work.

In short, although I have loved my Apple AirPort Time Capsule (3 Terabytes!!) it just wasn’t able to get into my apartment bedroom which was sadly only 15 feet away or so.

A beast!

I’d have to literally walk out of my bedroom to connect to wifi which, of course, isn’t tenable. I had heard that Eero was coming out with their next generation version (second gen…?) and that it was reportedly doing really well.

So I went ahead and got one and waited excitedly for it to arrive. I’ve captured most of the experience below:

I’ll give it a good run for a few weeks and if there’s anything significant to share I’ll update this post, but, if you happen to come across this many months from now and there isn’t an update… well, then you know that it’s freakin’ awesome.

The end.
