Live Longer

Unsurprising, but, I like how it’s backed by science…! Relationships keep us happy, they delay mental and physical decline, which results in a longer life. Another interesting finding as well from this study:

The study showed that the role of genetics and long-lived ancestors proved less important to longevity than the level of satisfaction with relationships in midlife, now recognized as a good predictor of healthy aging. The research also debunked the idea that people’s personalities “set like plaster” by age 30 and cannot be changed.

It clearly goes without saying that wealth and money and fame and a ton of other such superficial things did not ultimately bring happiness nor long life. Also unsurprising.

Yet, strangely (…?) we work so hard at trying to make as much money as we possibly can while trying to ensure that more and more people know about how much we’ve done and accomplished and how much money we have.

None of that ultimately has any real yield.
