seed stage capital availability should remain robust over the coming years with investors still needing to compete (and occasionally make concessions on valuations) to get into the best deals.

Outlook… bright.
Essentially, the availability of early-stage seed capital will help keep the ecosystem humming along and the more difficult (e.g. less available) later stage monies will force the make-believe companies to go home while the ones with a real business and real unit economics should/will have no problem finding follow-on capital.
I think the market is exercising a bit of the fat off of the proverbial table of goodwill and excitement (like eating too much at Thanksgiving) and is a necessary correcting measure. No one loses here.
