I love Cersei’s character in the show and in the books. I agree with your analysis of differences although I’d probably disagree on the reason why. She is exactly like the guys in the show, taking care of those they care about, willing to do anything for them but somehow failing them at every turn.

Ruthless, ambitions, and pathologically driven I love Cersei. She is completely unrepentant in fighting her corner. What people fail to think on is what her life would be like if she wasn’t who she was. Who stood for her? Who protected her from her husbands rages or dalliances? Who loved her enough to stand up to her father? How many dreams died because of being female. She fights for herself, all the way to the hilt. For that alone she is my hero.
