How far out in space does the earth’s gravity extend?

--

Earth’s gravity stretches indefinitely into space, although its influence becomes weaker as you move farther away from the planet. There isn’t a set distance at which Earth’s gravity suddenly quits, as gravity is a basic force that has an endless range. However, its power falls with the square of the distance from Earth’s center (which is basically the inverse square law F=GMm/r²). This means that even things positioned far from Earth are still under its gravitational influence, but the force becomes relatively weak at large distances. Technically, the force of gravity never ends, but in reality, at large distances, it diminishes at such an instinctive rate that it cannot be measured or becomes very negligible.
