Globalization refers to the free movement of people, goods, and services between nations. In the recent past, globalization has been at an all-time high. Countries have been coming closer through the free movement of goods and services. It has led to an increase in imports and exports worldwide. Globalization not only means free trade but also trade or movement of goods and people with fewer restrictions. An example of this could be a visa on arrival. This makes it less hectic for tourists planning a trip to another country.

Businesses

Globalization comes with many pros. It promotes economic growth as manufacturers and sellers get easy access to new markets. This results in a sales boost and the sellers’ earning in foreign currency. Through globalization, businesses get new markets to launch their products and gain international customers.

A catalyst for positive social change

Not only this, but globalization also plays a vital role in impacting social change. Globalization has provided people access to new cultures and given them a better understanding of foreign values and attitudes. People have now become more tolerant as they learn to accept different cultures. Because of globalization, Pakistan has gained exposure and today the country has restaurants serving many cuisines, be it Italian, Korean, Chinese, American, or Indian. These results from globalization.

Disadvantage of Globalization

However, every pro comes with a con. With globalization, we can prove this point with facts. While globalization is positively impacting countries around the world, it has also had some negative impacts. Because of globalization, safety and security have become a cause of concern. With free trade, the free movement of arms and ammunition and also terrorists has become high.

Because of the free movement of goods and people, it has become very hard to identify who is coming into the country with what intentions. Many people enter a certain country just to promote violence, hate crimes, and other physical crimes. Therefore, globalization has had its share in promoting the easy movement of criminals between countries.
