A GIFT OVERDUE:

Gratitude means to be thankful or to the power of being thankful, readiness to show appreciation to all the kindness you have received.

In our lives we receive a lot of love and support from our dearest and nearest, but we rarely get a chance to properly thank them.

Usually, we express our Gratitude by returning the favor back to the person instead of using words to acknowledge him/her. Thus, in our society we don’t realize the importance of expressing gratitude wholeheartedly to each other.

So in Today’s blog, I want to share a small act of Gratitude with you all. I’m doing a fellowship right now in this fellowship they told us how important it is to show love and appreciation in exchange of everytime you have been pulled through your bad times.

So when this project was given to me, I immediately thought the last best act that someone did for me and I didn’t thank her in a proper manner. I came to realize that this is the best time to show my appreciation to her.

So a few days ago, I had to do an assignment of Sociology but unfortunately my laptop was not working properly and I was unable to make it. With only a few days left, I started panicking because it was important and carried 10 marks in my final paper. I told this situation to my friend, her name is Abira. She is my best friend in university. Here I want to share a amazing picture of us:

I explained the whole scenario to her and asked her for help. She understood my situation and offered to make my assignment. She surprised me by finishing it very quickly and Alhamdulillah I submitted it on time. But I felt like I didn’t say her thank you in a proper manner. Amal fellowship motivated me to do such kind of act and then I made a Thank you card for her. Here I want to share a picture of the Thank you card that I made for her:

In this card I wrote a special note for her to say how much her help meant to me and how thankful I felt to have her in my life. Here’s a picture of what I actually wrote inside:

I gave her the card on Friday morning before our lecture. On receiving the card, she felt elated and said that she didn’t expect such a formality from my side. But I told her that I really valued her support and I should’ve done this way earlier. In this way I learned how to express gratitude to others and make them feel valued and acknowledged.
